“The purpose of life is not to be happy. It is to be useful, to be honorable, to be compassionate, to have it make some difference that you have lived and lived well.”
Ralph Waldo Emerson
The Empyrean was founded on the basic tenet that community matters and you can neither get through life nor ESO without a little help from someone.
We’ve all heard the stories of people being treated poorly because they are new or inexperienced players (or just random toxicity regardless of a player’s individual ability and skill). Unfortunately, some of us have experienced this toxicity for ourselves.
Either way, toxicity like this has zero place in-game. It is unnecessary and uncalled for. While we all play ESO for different reasons, and in different ways, we are all part of the same community and we should strive to treat each other fairly and with compassion.
Of course this is not practical.
Instead, we have opted to help those we can, those who want the help, those who will grow as players and then turn around and give back to the same community who helped them.
Everything our guild does, everything we strive to be, always focuses on this core belief, which is why we have developed programs aimed at helping people quest, dungeon, trial, or even craft.
We started off small: 6 people standing on the porch in Riften, but we are now almost 300-strong. That’s 300 like-minded people who believe what we do, that you can’t get through life alone, nor should you. We are very fortunate to have a group like the one we do- I’ve been in many guilds and not all of them can boast about having such an inclusive community. But we can.
So no matter who you are or what you need we are there to help you, all you have to do is ask.
I hope to see you out there! I know I’ll see you out there!
